Inspiration is all around us.

Please forgive the oh-so-cheesy topic of discussion, but now that I have taken on a new mantle with this course, I have found that everywhere I seem to go, I get ideas that give me a little bit of inspiration for my coursework designs. Be it colour combinations, shapes or even what is happening in clothing fashions, I find that idea's crop up almost all the time. This of course means that I need to train myself to carry a pen and paper at all time to make notes and knock up little sketches.

We have the Christmas season creeping up on us, which means that crimson shades will no doubt become quite prevalent. Not to mention deep greenish hues and of course lots of sparkle wherever it can be squeezed in.
I don't have any further assessments during this term of my course, but we will be making a variety of items which will be in keeping with the festive season: which of course means incorporating my plant namesake in to as many things as I can - not for egotism obviously, just to keep in with tradition!

It would seem I clearly don't have to look too far for inspiration at this time of year then...just the name on my driving license.

Joyeaux Noel!
