I didn't go to college last night as I have managed to get an ear infection. As a result I didn't feel too with it and I was desperate for an early night so I gave it a miss.
The session was meant for us to make a pew end arrangement: the type found in churches during weddings.
As my ears are still ringing with ache I didn't go to work today either but my flowers for college last night were sat looking at me so I thought I'd give it a go...alone!
With the help of my book "Professional Floristry Techniques" by Malcolm Ashwell and Sally Pearson to reference against, I created a design which fell in line with an autumn theme.
I used orange gerbera's, peachy-orange chrysanthemum's and claret coloured carnations. Mixed with foliage cut from my garden (ivy predominantly) and also the foliage which came with the flowers (from M&S) I created a design which was very bright and bold.
So have a look at the picture below and please leave comments: both positive and negative, as criticism is always welcome to help me improve.
