So, I still have yet to type up my homework from the last two pieces I made and I've still got designs to come up with for college on Tuesday.
I will be making a pew end, so quite a small arrangement, primarily featuring carnations, chrysanthemum's and other 'traditional' flowers. But I personally want to make something a bit more contemporary but nothing too out there.
Seeing as the intent for such a piece is one that would feature in a place of worship, an also the fact that Christmas is only a few weeks away, I think I could be apt for something that is in keeping with this.
Visions of the last supper come to mind but obviously it is the wrong time of year. However as December celebrates the mass of Christ, I could go for a bread and wine theme, so the use of clarets and whites could be appropriate.
Another idea could be to mimic colours and maybe even shapes used for Christmas lights, such as those switched on in Oxford Street last week.
However, I think doing such an arrangement is almost wishing the year away as we have yet to really leave autumn, therefore something representative of such a season would be nice also.
Essentially, this post is me brainstorming ideas so I don't forget them.
But for now it's back to work for me at he mighty Infernos in Clapham, so I'll leave the proper designing for a bit later this weekend...probably Sunday night as that traditionally has always been when I did my homework.
